Real Mallorca manager Gregorio Manzano is the surprise new candidate to replace Gianfranco Zola at West Ham.
Zola has a crunch summit meeting at Upton Park at midday today with joint-chairmen David Sullivan and David Gold to determine his future.
And the Italian, in charge since September 2008, is expected to leave West Ham, whose debts are £90million.
The cash-strapped Hammers' hierarchy are hoping Zola quits to save them compensation after they finished 17th.
