Gareth Barry has been given an extra 24 hours to prove he has recovered sufficiently from an ankle injury to go to the World Cup with England.
It had been thought the Manchester City midfielder had an appointment with his specialist today to assess his recovery from an ankle ligament injury that threatens his participation at World Cup 2010.
