Brazil seek space to play

Brazil midfielder Julio Baptista says his side are expecting more space to play their brand of football in their pivotal Group G game with Côte d'Ivoire on Sunday, having been afforded little room against Korea DPR before eventually prevailing in their opener at Ellis Park on Tuesday.

Dunga's team are not expecting such rigid marking this weekend at Soccer City against Les Elephants in the first of their two big examinations in what's been termed the 'Group of Death'. They follow up their game against Côte d'Ivoire with a tantalising encounter with Portugal in Durban on 25 June.

The story is too old to be commented.
