Brazil head coach Dunga confirms resignation after Netherlands defeat

Brazil head coach Dunga has reaffirmed his intention to resign from his post after the nation crashed out of World Cup 2010 at the hands of the Netherlands.

The 46-year-old originally announced in December that he would leave the job upon the Samba Boys' elimination in South Africa. This was optimistically planned to follow the final on July 11, but Friday's 2-1 quarter-final defeat brings a slightly premature end to his four-year spell in charge.

The story is too old to be commented.

Dunga made an alright coach, but the team itself is more at fault than him
