Reigning European and world champions Spain have remained in pole position in the latest FIFA rankings released on Wednesday.
Vicente del Bosque's side, who take on Mexico in a friendly international later today, continue to sit top of the rankings in August after winning the World Cup last month. The Iberians are followed by Netherlands in second place - the Oranje reached the final in South Africa but lost to la Furia Roja.
I think they`re gonna bee there for a long time.
Now its easy for them to stay at the top, cause of easy matches. When it starts for real, I think they will have a tough time holding the position. They are in the same situation as France ten years 10 years ago. Its hard to stay at the top!
