Schalke 04 midfielder Jermaine Jones has spoken of his emotions as he returns to his home city of Frankfurt with die Koenigsblauen for this weekend's Bundesliga encounter. The American international had two spells with die Adler, which included a stint as club captain. However, his departure from the club in 2007 was acrimonious, something he still regrets.
"I am back in the city, at the club, in the stadium where I was captain. That hurts. If I see how Gerald Asamoah and Heiko Westermann were welcomed back to Schalke, with applause and fan songs, it makes me sad," he told the Frankfurter Rundschau.
