Ramos backs Benzema to prove himself at Real

Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos is confident that team-mate Karim Benzema has the ability to be a success at the Bernabeu, despite the France striker's failure to establish himself as a regular starter since moving from Lyon.

Benzema's prolific form during his time at the Stade Gerland convinced Real to part with a reported £35 million to bring him to Spain in July 2009.

But after starting the first 12 games of the 2009-10 campaign, Benzema was dropped by former boss Manuel Pellegrini and never managed to regain his place as a regular starter ahead of preferred forwards Gonzalo Higuain and Cristiano Ronaldo.

No young player should go to Real the team is just too crowded they never have enough chances to prove themselves.

I agree. Real is a good place to go when your at your best. The team has no patience for bad for or developing players. If your not up to standards there they'll buy a replacement instead of waiting for you to get back to your usual self
