Match report: Chelsea 0 - 3 Sunderland

Champions humiliated on own turf

Goals from Nedum Onuoha, Asamoah Gyan and Danny Welbeck gave Sunderland a deserved 3-0 victory over Premier League leaders Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
It was Chelsea's first home defeat since March and their first at the hands of Sunderland since 2001.

Gyan added the second just after half-time with a cool finish and Welbeck seized on a poor backpass by Ashley Cole in the 87th minute to hand Chelsea their second defeat in three games.

Why everyone is talking about chelsea's poor game (and yes they were poor)...they should credit Sunderland with their amazing performance

I agree with you there. Really good by sunderland.
But everybody have big expectations to Chelsea. Won almost every game with a lot of goals, and almost no goals defensive. Kind of good to see that they also are one of the normal deadly teams that also can have bad periods and loose. Now EPL will be a thriller.

Yup, great performance from them. I do think Gyan has a good chance of being top goalscorer this season

Glad to see Welbeck playing well. He was dissapointing for us last season
