Liverpool midfielder Joe Cole will take no part in the upcoming game against his former club West Ham United according to the club's head of sports medicine and sports science Peter Brukner.
The former Chelsea man has been struggling to regain his fitness since sustaining a hamstring injury during the victory over Bolton Wanderers and is only expected to return to training next week.
Brukner said: "Joe will need another week.
"He's nearly there but his hamstring just hasn't come good as quickly as we might have hoped.
