Bundesliga outfit Hamburg have received some disappointing news from the treatment table regarding the fitness of Dutch international Joris Mathijsen.
A report on the club's official website reads that Mathijsen has torn ligaments in his ankle and will be sidelined for about eight weeks. HSV's club doctors have yet to decide whether Mathijsen will have to undergo surgery.
