Former Major League Soccer MVP Guillermo Barros Schelotto of the Columbus Crew was among the players left unprotected for Wednesday's Expansion Draft.
Schelotto, who won the MVP in 2008 when he led Columbus to the MLS Cup title, was joined on the unprotected list by teammate Frankie Hejduk, Red Bull New York striker Juan Pablo Angel, Chicago Fire midfielder Freddie Ljungberg, Real Salt Lake striker Robbie Findley and FC Dallas striker Jeff Cunningham, among others.
