Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has rested a number of first team stars for tonight’s Champions League encounter with Auxerre at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Los Blancos have already secured qualification for the knockout stages in top spot in their section, and the Portuguese will take the opportunity to give a number of his regulars an evening off.
The likes of Iker Casillas, Xabi Alonso, Angel Di Maria and Sami Khedira have all been omitted from his 18-man squad, while Gonzalo Higuain, Fernando Gago, Kaka and Sergio Canales remain in the treatment room.
