Arsenal boss Wenger welcomes new Uefa financial rules

The Gunners boss said the likes of Manchester City cannot be criticised for spending big under current rules.

"You can do it their way, buying the best players in the world. What I want to show is it works our way as well."

The Frenchman, who prefers to develop young talent over expensive signings, added: "It is supposed to change [in 2012], then we will see."

Well, he should they seem to fall right into the things he likes to do with Arsenal's money. This rule will only hurt the teams that are used to spending too much money (beyond the money they earn) every year.

Only Liverpool have less debt (none) than Arsenal do because of their recent buyout.
