In the spirit of what the Reds could look like after a successful summer in the transfer market, here is a brief look at what the Reds bench and starting 11 could look like next season.
Liverpool play better when Kyut playes with Suarez in attack, Carroll should come off the bench. The Reds will bring 2 attacking MF players, a LB and CB next year.
When you say, "not more than 70 million", did you mean net-spending or gross-spending? Because even with Marveaux free, those other players won't be that cheap.
Benfica want at least £25m for Coentrao. And it seems AC Milan are willing to match that price. So LFC will have to do the same. Sakho will cost about £10m, probably similar or more for M'Vila.
Sanchez is the hottest transfer target this summer. So you can't expect his final value to be anything less than £40m. That brings the gross-spending to at least £85m. Of course, if LFC can get rid of Poulsen, Konchesky, Jovanovic, Cole, Aurelio, Kyrgiakos, etc., it might be about £70m for net-spending.
P.S. - About the article :- Liverpool will definitely not be challenging for the PL title with the squad listed there. Young and Kuyt on the wings in a 4-4-2? That's barely top 5 quality at best. Kuyt needs to stop playing out wide, and you won't win titles with Ashley Young. Enrique is good but nothing special. To win titles, Liverpool should bench Carroll and buy 2 quality forwards and a a better LB for a 4-3-3.
you'd still have lucas?! he had one good match this season against chelsea 2-0 but apart from that very average. he's the equivalent to darren gibson of united.

Sign M'Vila, Marveaux, and another centerback (Sakho) for squad rotations and I think this is a squad capable of winning the title in '11-'12.
These signings should not cost Liverpool more than 70 million
