Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes has insisted he didn't deserve his reputation as a bad tackler, insisting he was simply ‘getting people back’ after they had previously fouled him.
I think Cesc said it better... "He is the one whose level I aspire to. He is the best player in the Premier League."
Or Zidane.... "My toughest opponent? Scholes of Manchester. He is the complete midfielder." "Scholes is undoubtedly the best midfielder of his generation."
Or Xavi.... ‘In the last 15 to 20 years the best central midfielder that I have seen — the most complete — is Scholes. I have spoken with Xabi Alonso about this many times. Scholes is a spectacular player who has everything. ‘He can play the final pass, he can score, he is strong, he never gets knocked off the ball and he doesn’t give possession away. If he had been Spanish then maybe he would have been valued more.’
Or Patrick Viera.... "The player in the Premiership I admire most? Easy - Scholes."
Scholes cant even tackle and he got dropped from the England squad for Lampard and England, Gerrard also has more caps and hes younger.
I can name many center mids better than Scholes Xavi, Iniesta, Gerrard, Lampard, Viera, Cesc, Alonso and alot more.
This comment just shows how mature Scholes is.
Again showing you know little! Scholes retired from international football. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport... Telegraph have been known to misquote unlike the BBC.
Where are those Xavi, Cesc Ineista quotes for Gerrard??? He has not even won the League, lol! I suppose that's why he wanted to go Chelsea.
Being a great player and great sportsman are two different things. I know he was a great player and all but if he was seriously trying to injure other players just to get back at them...well lets just say he doesn't deserve much respect.
I'd say the same if it was Messi, Ronaldo, or whoever the best player in the game is.
So Wenger was right then.
This comment has made him more of a c*nt then he already is.
