BR - For the most part, 2011 was a rather predictable year in terms of major title winners. Manchester United won the English Premier League, Barcelona won La Liga, AC Milan won Serie A and the UEFA Champions League Final was contested between the eventual title winners in England and Spain.
That's as close to the script as it will probably get in any given year. Nevertheless, 2011 did hold a number of surprises for world football as a whole.
