Wayne Rooney felt the full force of Sir Alex Ferguson’s fury when he was axed by Manchester United on Saturday.
A boozy Boxing Day night out saw the striker dropped for yesterday’s shock 3-2 defeat against Blackburn.
Ferguson ditched his star man when he discovered that Rooney had gone out on the town to celebrate the 5-0 win over Wigan with team-mates Jonny Evans, Darron Gibson and their partners.
