Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has confirmed the club will appeal against Vincent Kompany's red card in Sunday's 3-2 defeat to Manchester United.
that was never a red in my opinion, kompany won the ball, nani didn't even get hit, because kompany had one two legs where they shouldn't be he gets a red?? giggs tackle was worse but again, because one leg was used its fine
roy kean was right, you cant make a tackle any more
So someone needs to be on the floor with a broken leg?? Two-footed tackles are not allowed regardless of whether the ball is won, it's dangerous play. Thankfully Nani is quick and nimble and was able to jump out of the way.
i didn't say he needed to be injured, just that contact wasn't even made, that tackle deserved a yellow at most, a free kick if the ref didn't over react
a red card for winning the ball & making zero contact is stupid
He will just get a longer ban. It was a two footed tackle and if Nani wasn't as nimble as he is, he could have had his legs broken.
I agree completely, it was a clear two-footed tackle and I'm surprised they want to appeal.
They won't win, you're not allowed to tackle like that anymore whether you win the ball or not.
