Chelsea is our ideal opponent.
Again we beat Chelsea, and it tasted as good as a one nil home game should. No gun firing celebration, but back to work on Monday feeling. The defensive display was brilliant and Chelsea’s lions became sheep after 10 min. Of course the defensive hard work affects our attacking style, but the breakdown was very good and ended in a typical Tevez goal. We also manage more often now to keep the ball instead of giving it away if the breakdown “just” ending with a back pass it is so important to not give away possession. The team looks balanced, maybe not so surprising since we got 2 holding midfielders, and our wingers must have hard working ethics to get minutes under Mr. Mancini. It has been written that City score to seldom, but we have created a lot of chances and if we get our finishes together we soon have a firing game ahead of us. My bet is at least four goals against Newc astle.
Good to see Boateng gets his first minutes, and the old, never to old Zaba again showed quality. Too bad Ade didn’t score, but he can be the world’s most costly supersub!
