Here it goes..
It was my dad who introduced me to football, think there was a European cup game, Ajax against Juventus, If i remember correctly, it was my first ever football game with my dad. Personally, my inclination towards club football came about after the 1998 World Cup. I bought myself a copy of a FIFA and after the Argentina-England game with that goal from Michael Owen, I had to pick a team with him in it. For the first few years I followed Liverpool, I did so without even knowing the great heritage of the club, the support that we have, the great heroes we’ve had and I was mad about Liverpool even then.
What keeps you coming back for more?
Liverpool.
Being based in India and having both ESPN and Fox Sports, I am really fortunate in that I see a hell of a lot of football. On Saturday and Sunday I can pretty much watch 3-4 games from Premier League, Bundesliga(Dortmund, Bayern, Monchengladbach, Leverkusen), La Liga(Atletico, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Valencia, Sociedad). Lately I've been hooked to Ererdivise as well, Quality teams like PSV, Ajax, Twente, good football all around. Then during the week I get the Monday night game (which I put on while i am working) and on Tuesday through thursday 1-2 games each day from the CL and Europa, on the weeks they play. Over a season, that's a lot of games... so my eyes actually end up looking like footballs.
