He didn't chose, United did.

Won't win anything. Will struggle domestically playing in Europe as well with his limited squad. Arsenal and Manchester United will both have resurgent seasons and keep Liverpool out the top 4. Klopp's job will be threatened.

Meaningless win against a disrupted Manchester United side. Neither club would have made top 4 regardless of the result of this game. But United will probably win the Europa League and qualify.

England's failed bid for the 2018 World Cup came at a price. Despite being hailed as the most complete bid it never got past the first round of voting. The competitions were handed to Russia and Qatar. The latter being a bid who couldn't even tell you whether they were planning a summer or winter World Cup!

Clearly the bidding process needed serious scrutiny after this moment. Even the Australians cried foul. If a lot of pressure for an inquiry over FIFA came from the...

He is going to end up at United. Start of next season. Possibly before.

No way Van Gaal will stay in his job if he fails to deliver top 4 and Champions League football after spending what he has. That looks exactly what is gonna happen now United are 6 points off 4th.

Moyes went as soon as 4th was mathematically impossible. LvG might last longer than Moyes if he keeps the club in the FA Cup, but even winning it probably won't be enough to save his job.

Well that's what City and Arsenal are masters at, slipping up :p

Still don't see United winning the title but don't think they will be too far away, I think they need another pacey attacker. Griezmann for example.

Who knows, LvG might even buy someone in January to make a difference.

Why was he sacked? Because he spent nearly £300m in 3 and a half years and Liverpool still look like a 6th placed club at best.

Simples.

The game's money and audience is mostly in Europe. South America has a very large following but with considerably less cash swilling about.

Without UEFA then something like the World Cup looks a very weak prospect for FIFA especially in terms of marketing and sponsorship, brand association.

FIFA only seem to care about one thing and one thing only- money. Greed. If the only answer is to hit them in their wallet and hit them hard, then the solution is a U...

Why vote out the enabler allowing you to get rich off corruption? Obvious result is obvious.

Nope. Juventus are an Italian team disciplined to defend, they have conceded the least number of goals of any side left in the competition.

They lead 2-1, Madrid must score, and they must do it without being caught on the counter attack that Juventus looked extremely dangerous on last night. It's advantage Juventus.

Fully expect Juventus to defend and hit on the break.

Could and possibly should have been at least 3-1 to Juventus. They really did look the better and smarter side, Bale and Ramos were awful.

Madrid might still be favourites in the return leg, but Juventus look perfectly capable of scoring away goals if Madrid are not more careful defensively.

Its very well balanced. I expect Juventus to sit back and hit Madrid on the counter quickly, just the way Juventus will want it, and just how they won this game.

Bayern thoroughly deserve it. However I fear for the league right now, with the drop of Dortmund who can challenge them?

That's the 3rd title in a row and it doesn't look like anyone will get close to them next season either, the gap is just so huge to 2nd place.

15 points after just 30 games is massive. In other leagues you know there will always be teams spending money and fighting back, in the Bundesliga it seems difficult to see who can or will do...

City cannot afford to go mad with transfers any more. They have already had sanctions because of FFP showing how close to the edge they have been running it. This WILL restrict them. United on the other hand....are loaded.

Erm....to be honest no United fan wants him to come back- only to sit on the bench. It's no coincidence since Van Gaal ditched Falcao and RvP was injured so he has played with one striker the team has suddenly looked a lot better.
