I fully agree that last year's Bayern was overall better. The only "game changer" this year being the addition of Goetze, who truly shows his brilliance when needed. I really miss Jupp and I don't like where Pep is taking the team...they have near constant possession, yes...but it is not always possession in a good way. I also don't like that (it seems) more Bayern players are taking to dives/simulations and exaggerated complaints to the referees. Maybe after the nex...
Yeah that goal was pretty awesome! His placement on the shot was so spot on too from a difficult angle :) At least it gave the match a bit of injection...but yeah overall, pretty boring. And what was with Martinez falling down at every touch? That got on my nerves.
Yeah, I don't see Dortmund making it as far as the final this year, too plagued with injuries to really be consistent it seems. Bayern have always been my favorite team ever since I discovered soccer so long ago and I think the hype is valid this year. When they really turn it on...they can just simply control a game. Real will be the only side to give them a shot, I think. But it is soccer and crazier things have happened...who knows, maybe Arsenal will pull a miracle and beat them i...
Damn...kind of embarrassing being a Bundesliga fan this year. Bayern running away with it...Dortmund going strong in the CL but not in the league...and the two other German teams in the CL got thoroughly whooped and have just a tiny chance of a miracle comeback. Still awesome to see four Germans teams make it this far..and they did face far superior opposition in the two defeats, but damn it is still a shame to lose by THIS much.
I don't hate Manchester United by any means...but when this whole "downfall" thing started, I was a bit entertained and would chuckle occasionally when I saw the results. Now...I am starting to feel bad, this seems beyond a slump, there was zero motivation and drive on the player's faces. I also don't hate Moyes, but if they don't advance in the CL, I see no other option but to just fire him...this team needs a good kick in the butt to change things around.

There is CLEAR contact there...Robben did sell it a bit, though, but come on mate. Robben had his eyes on the ball until it touched his boot and Szczesny was already going full steam ahead to try and win the ball.
haha, that pic #2 was pretty good :D cheers!
hahahahahahahahaha!!! I don't hate or love Man Utd, I am in between...but this is just too hilarious...I am sorry!! As a neutral, it is a bit comical to see such a high caliber team fall so hard.
I would agree that Bayern would win over the two fixtures...but oh man, too many things can happen in football to say some team has "no chance". Too many crazy/controversial/nail biting moments happen in Champions League football to say any one team has no chance against another. Last year's Dortmund vs Malaga match comes to mind of some crazy things that can happen at the end of a game.
haha yeah, if they also get Suarez...then they will no longer have a proper excuse for not winning the UCL :)
Hey alright, punish the 61st rank team for something the 1st ranked team did and the FIFA referee allowed...ah what perfect logic! I truly hope they don't lose the ranking points because SA totally deserves this win. Fine or punish the referee, don't take away the hard earned ranking points from a struggling African nation.
muwhahah that is so brilliant!!!
Yeah the passing for that goal was truly beautiful! Every single goal of Arsenal today made me smile so much and admire its beauty. Great passes, great runs off the ball and great teamwork...unreal stuff from Arsenal as of late!
I felt so very awful when the equalizer and subsequent third goal went in...Panama deserved this playoff round with New Zealand so so much more than Mexico.
Yeah, Man City has been the shock for me this season in how inconsistent they are...scoring 5 one game and then losing to newly promoted Cardiff and drawing Stoke is quite odd for a team with such individual talent.
And Walcott, I just don't know...sometimes he is a complete game changer, the next...he misses some very clear chances that could have made things more comfortable for the side. Instead, they kind of struggled to dominate on the scoreline when they clearly do...
Totally agree with your comments there, he really did play his debut like he has always been there. Such an impressive team display today, despite the shaky start to second half and the missed chances, that is.
Yeah I was so happy for them to get their first competitive goal in five years and the looks and smiles on their faces was so amazing. I hope with the remaining fixtures in their WCQ group, maybe the next match vs. Moldova they can even win it? Moldova has no hope of qualifying so they might not play their hearts out while surely San Marino will after this high.
Wait a tick, how do the threats of a Muslim extremist group towards the transfer of a Welsh player from an English side to a Spanish side have anything to do with the USA? I hope you were being sarcastic, because if not...I give up.
Oh totally agree, there is no reason to make the move really. I just worry that they will throw a ton of money his way...a record transfer fee or something could make any player at least consider the option.
Yeah! Were I the player Sterling was tackling, I would also be so very angry...making that sort of tackle in a friendly just a week before the World Cup? That is f**ked up!
