Exactly. Besides, I can't understand why people are whining about the penalties, they were clearly fouls.

This happens every single time there is a classico or Barca gets a penalty. The defender could kill the attacker and still there would be people complaining it wasn't a penalty...

Ronaldos penalty was a clear foul but outside the box so should've been a freekick.

@krazykombatant

Covered the area?! There was a clear space Iniesta could've slipped trough but then Xabi comes in and blocks it out = foul. Textbook defending usually includes taking or clearing the ball away, not being clumsy and making a hot dog with a team mate.

And you make it seem like the ref only gives Real a red card because Barca is struggling.. it's not his fault Ramos takes Neymar out as the last man.

Then you should really watch some replays, he clearly takes the other leg out. There was some over reacting from Neymar but it doesn't change a thing. He still took the attacker out as a last man so he gets a red card...

I'm actually incredibly happy about this. "Hull tigers".. ffs

This could become very interesting. I know this is just speculation but if Barca and Real go trough and they become one semi-final pair. There is going to be 4 clasicos(i think) and 3 barca vs atletico madrid matches left this season. That could do some serious stuff to La liga situation ;)

@krazykombatant

Kroos has one of the most appearances for Bayern this season. So why bother saying something like that if you obviously have NO idea?

3878d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Well not with their current form :S Hopefully they play well and get some extra boost for the rest of the season. They'll definitely need it, if they want to play in Champions League next season..

3885d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Agreed. I'd actually argue that the goal differnce would've been even larger for Barca with a better referee...

I liked the formation too. Neymar got to play in a more natural position and Messi didn't fall too back. But there was space wasted on the wings while Pedro AND Alexis are sitting on the bench.. Those two are the guys who also keep the high and agressive pressure up.

It's really hard to put on a formation that benefits all these great players :S

@mynameisq

Yup. If they can grab a striker that can run and penetrate defenses, Arsenal could be a tough team to beat next season.

3888d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Giroud can be good against bad or decent teams when you get a lot of chances from the wings but when it comes to these big clubs he can't do s*it... He is not the worst striker out there but definitely not good enough for Arsenal.

With all those players and money there would be no excuse for not winning trophies, especially in England..

That Pepe incident was one of the most unsportsmanlike things I have ever seen.. Basic diving doesn't even come close to that! He should've gotten a red card and some match bans for that crap. Disgrace!

3897d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

Yep. Schalke isn't even that small of a team, it's one of the richest clubs out there! They have just been very poor while Real is in top form so these kind of outcomes are to be expected sometimes..

But he wouldn't be replaced immediately. There could be a proper penalty time of 30mins for example.. and the other team would STILL have to face the penalty so it would be just stupid to foul on purpose.

It would still be a major concern for the fouling team and an advantage for the other while not ruining the whole match..

3906d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

In situations like these, there could be a red card, the player gets sent off(gets 1-3 game suspension) and there would be a penalty BUT the team could still play with 11 players after some "penalty" time and bring on a substitute or something. If you're out of substitutions or time is almost up you just have to deal with it...

Now, I know this would a drastic change and feels a bit weird but something like this could seriously make the game better.

True, but there should be some kind of limit to this. I don't know how it should be done precisely but 300k/week for a player that is not even best in the world is preposterous..

Not that long ago, I think 2009 Tevez had the best salary of 200k/week and now just few years later players are receiving far more than that!? The salaries are going up far too fast.

Wow.. Listenkids you're being very biased. It's impossible to tell if the Messi situation is in or out of the box when seeing it live. And how do you know that they would've not scored the possible free kick.

"Accidental handball impossible to give, should have resulted in a direct free kick, not a penalty (you'd understand if you'd watched more than a year of football)."

What the hell are you talking about there?

Navas was not fouled..

Barca wasn't very dangerous in this game because they played with a very odd formation. There were no one on the left side attacking because Iniesta was basically just a 4th midfield player. When that left side attacker Nyemar came on he replaced Alexis on the right side and yet again the left side was completely useless.. I think Barca will be much more effective when there are two real wingers/attackers on.
