Manchester United defender Patrice Evra dismisses City challenge and focuses on title

Comments made in January by Garry Cook, the Manchester City chief executive, that it was “not if, but when, we beat United again” proved embarrassingly premature with City going out of the Carling Cup in a semi-final at Old Trafford just five days later.

And Cook’s claim, made at the same time as his second-leg prediction, that “this football club will be, without doubt, the biggest and best in the world” has not been forgotten at Manchester United.
