Great News for Us Arsenal supporters and England too. Also Frimpong is back to full training (back up for Diaby), with Rosicky and Sagna two weeks away according to Wenger.
Imagine how good would it be to have Wilshere, the oX and Walcott playing in the same team every week and then do the same for England. If only Arsenal could get an English Cazorla or Fabregas then England could benefit from a procession based play style when need it. By the way I'm not English, just s...
Galatasaray looked like they could get something out of this game at times. United though it seemed like they lost focus for the last minutes in the first half. Also what the hell, why did Nani take the penalty shot.
I'm not surprised by the result, but other than the next game against Juve, Chelsea should do fine in this group.
Well, so far Man City hasn't performed to the level that they can, so unless the loss to Real woke them up, a draw wont be that difficult to obtain. Also they seem to be allowing many goals in, so maybe someone is not doing their best defensively. Maybe Arsenal can exploit that on Sunday.
PSG started the CL better than in the French league.
Strong start by Malaga.
You got it. They hit the bar once from a daring effort, and had at least two 1 on 1 chances. Though except for the hit in the bar, most of their chances came from errors from Arsenal players. Arsenal though had a couple of chances too, in the second half, but nothing else. Most of the second half was played near Arsenal's goal.
I think is do to the fact that RVP is gone. Last season it seemed like only RVP was allowed to shoot, but now they all want to have a go at it which has worked for their confidence and performance level.
Lol if Arsenal are willing to pay for his wages they should have bought a younger and also proven player to replace RVP.
Looked like Man City would win it after being outplayed for most of the game but couldn't hold the lead till the end.
Happy with the result, but not about the second half performance. It was as if the whole Arsenal team were happy for Montpellier to keep the ball instead of really trying to go for a third goal.
Easy match for United in the end and on top of that they got their first clean sheet of the season. Maybe this will give confidence to the defense to do better than the first games, at least until the injured ones get back.
Well that's how Arsenal should spread the goal scoring among the players. Deserved result, just wish Giroud would have scored one already. Southampton at times looked lost, but there were points in the game where they tried, too bad they were so far behind by that point.
Man City is too inconsistent so far.
Are all of their defenders back from injury? If not, problems will probably continue.
But City played with only 3 defenders, if I remember correctly and United are trying to patch holes as best as they can due to injuries.
On another note our Arsenal defending, LOL. Wenger has only done it once, against Barca. Otherwise they might as well not play if they will try to defend more. What they need is attack more so that maybe Giroud can finally score and starts gaining confidence.
He wouldn't be the first. It must be hard not being a first choice player and having to hold all your plans in case they call you in an emergency.
Maybe is Young in front of him? or RVP if they want to play him there.....but maybe he just fell out of Ferguson's favor.
I don't think that the Arsenal supporters hate him for leaving (me included), at least he left for another league. Unlike Clichy, Adebayor, Cole, Nasri and now RVP that joined rivals in the EPL. The problem will be his price and wages. Wenger will never pay more than 17 million I would estimate. He wouldn't even pay much more than that for a young and on fire Thierry Henry. Also a loan spell could be worked out, but I doubt Barca wants that. So in the end he will end up staying or in...
Why didn't he? Was it because he missed the last one he took?
