if Nani could have only crossed past the first man or not skied them into the opposite stands..
Wouldn't have made a difference it we got the extra 43 seconds. We lacked creativity the whole match, an extra minute wouldn't have helped.
De Gae - Great start to the season for the lad. Every shot Everton brought at him was stopped minus the 2 shots off the bar but those would've been unstoppable had they gone in.
Evra - Made some great runs on the left sidelines and looked to have more pace than I usually give him credit for. Poor crossing and the Everton defenders got the best of him on attack as they managed to get a lot of goal kicks off of his crossing attempts. He played fairly well defensively.
Ugly opening display by United. From the very beginning we never really got going. Besides Kagawa and Cleverly, the midfield was pitiful with horrible crosses and mistakes by Nani and Scholes didn't really push forward too much. Way too much check passing with no real progress from almost everyone. Everton totally deserved the victory and we had no answer for Fellaini with defensive marking as Carrick was getting manhandled and even Vidic is not back to full strength. We really missed Rio...
They also helped us by beating you 1-0 when Gibson scored. It goes both ways.
Great fight by Southampton! They should feel a bit hard done since Tevez was offsides on the opening goal.
He's played only 4 matches at WBA since he transferred to Fulham in 2008. His goal scoring record was dismal for Fulham in the past 4 years though.
Not yet.
Funny to hear the fans chanting, "Are you watching Clint Demspey" after the win.
Nope. United cost itself the title. You guys did us a favor by beating City 1-0 when Gibson scored. I'd say the loss to Wigan was a bigger blow than the draw.
Not quite the 40m price tag they were asking...
He's at West Brom.
"The offer from the Gunners and the chance to play alongside footballers like Robin Van Persie..." Yeah, about that....
Great that Fletcher was able to be back in the line up. We missed him tremendously last season.
This transfer and Michael Owen a couple years ago are really shocking in retrospect. If you would've told me that we'd have signed both these players 5 years ago, I would've laughed it off as madness. I truly feel sorry for Arsenal supporters and I know how they feel as we went through the same thing with Ronaldo (although didn't sell him to a league rival) and Rooney's little saga a couple years ago. I'm excited to see what RVP can do for our attack but I really hope ...
Rumored to be about 15m pounds. Way too much for someone who's so injury prone.
I hate how I miss all these preseason matches because of work. I heard De Gae was a beast though. Need to watch the highlights.
Maybe for the first 20 minutes but for the rest of the match it was all GB.
Ramsey and Sturridge were shockingly bad. Should've subbed both of them at the half. Giggs should've come in for Ramsey at the half. He lost every ball in South Korea's half.
What do you expect from Mercenary City?
