In trying to force a move to Spain, the Croatian midfielder has angered his club chairman by refusing to travel with Spurs on their pre-season tour of the United States
Modric signed a contract until 2016. He has no right as a professional to ditch training to make a statement. He can request a transfer but when they refuse he should carry on and honor his commitment to the club. He shouldn't have signed a new contract so he can be in RVP position
thats the problem with contracts and players these days.. they mean nothing and players have too much power.. if he didnt want to stay he shouldnt of signed an extension for so long
I'm amazed the guys signed a 6 year contract for only 40k a week. He's the biggest idiot really considering he could have got a lot more and now he's spitting out his dummy as Chelsea (last year) and real madrid would give him 5X that amount.
The poor guy felt cheated by the chairman anyway last year so can't say I'm surprised. With the way Levy treated Redknapp, I say good on Modric.
