Cristiano Ronaldo is hot property these days especially with his recent, staggering form at Real Madrid. The player, who is probably experiencing a peak in his career is a proven goal scoring machine and thus on the radar of many big money clubs.
According to reports, Real Madrid turned down a staggering £160million bid from Manchester City for superstar Cristiano Ronaldo during the transfer period.
It's not really that hard to believe since his release clause is 1 BILLION Euros. Wow
160m is a lot, but imagine all the shirt sales Madrid gets from Ronaldo's name. If 2 million people globally bought an official jersey for 80 (on average), then the sales on that is worth the bid alone
If I were Mancini, I would've bought Pepe, a LB, a RB , and 2 established midfielders with that money. Paying 160 million for one player is completely wasteful, even if it's Ronaldo or Messi.
