Bale isn't better now than Ronaldo was when he was 23, so he isn't as good as Ronaldo is now let alone back then.

Let me put it this way, at 23, Ronaldo won the premier league, the champions league, was champions league top scorer, Ballon d'Or, FWA footballer of the year, Premier league golden boot, Premier league player of the year, UEFA footballer of the year, FIFA world player of the year etc etc etc.....

Bale has plenty of room to improve yet further though.
