Top and Flop: Mumbai FC 3-0 Salgaocar FC

Jayesh Rane was in inspired form against Salgaocar and emerged as the catalyst for Mumbai's victory. The 21 year-old played a big part in each of his side's three goals. He won the ball on the left before skipping past a couple of players and finding Taisuke Matsugae who set up Sampath Kuttymani for the opener. Rane then whipped in a delicious cross which was inch perfect for Josimar to nod in the second. Finally, the attacker got on the scoresheet himself when he beat Subrata Paul in a one-on-one to finish off the game. He regularly dropped into pockets of space throughout the game and was a nightmare to deal with for the opposing defenders.

The story is too old to be commented.
