Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan, who have been struggling with a cash crunch and failed to pay their players for almost three months now, have found a way to deal with the situatuon ahead of the Kolkata derby.
"I think it is a temporary problem. We have a lot of members, but had never urged them for money before we ran into this trouble. We have signed a ten-year deal with McDowell and they can't walk out like this," Anjan Mitra, the secretary of the club commented on the reported nonchalance of the sponsors in funding the club.
