Inter president Massimo Moratti told fans he would try to sign Lionel Messi from Barcelona in January, but it was a joke according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
A number of fans asked the Inter chief who he would sign in the next transfer window, and his response was one that no one expected.
"We will see if I can bring Messi..." he said.
