D.C. United winger Andy Najar became the youngest ever player in Major League Soccer to win the league's Rookie of the Year award on Wednesday.
The 17-year-old edged out New York defender Tim Ream and Philadelphia forward Danny Mwanga to become the first United player since Ben Olsen in 1998 to win the award.
