Better goalscoring form for sure, but Messi has nine assists to Ronaldo's two this season. Both are in great form if you ask me.
Yeah, they are woeful in defense, same as last year really. Difference being their attack is rubbish this year. No Suarez, and to and extent, no Sturridge. Plus any team with Joe Allen in their starting line up isn't exactly destined for greatness.
@listenkids, yes Everton would be classed as lower opposition for Utd, especially with the squad they have now. Let me spell it out for you. I'd draw it for you but I don't have any crayons...
So far they have played Swansea, Sunderland, Burnley, QPR, Leicester, West Ham, Everton and West Brom. Tell me which one of them teams represents a solid challenge for Utd, with the squad that they have? Arguably Everton. From them games they have picked up a measly 12 poin...
I have a feeling Utd are going to get destroyed by Chelsea. I reckon Mourinho will be out of blood here because Chelsea have been blowing teams away recently. Why not add Utd to the list?
Holy fook. Wasn't expecting that at all.
Messi, hands down. The guy is extraordinary.
8 games played against the lower opposition. They have barely been challenged yet and have been dire.
Yeah that's great and all Platini, but pretty sure the Ballon D'or is for best player, regardless of the World Cup. Don't know anyone in the German team who outdid Ronaldo or Messi on an individual level last year.
I personally think it was Messi's great start to his career that pushed Ronaldo. He was in Messi's shadow for many years even after he arrived at Madrid. Starting last season, he has really stepped it up and is arguably the better player at the moment.
Well that settles it. Ronaldo is officially the greatest player ever.
I don't know. He had a better start than LVG with a far worse selection of players. Still not convinced LVG will shine at Utd. I have a feeling the likes of Chelsea, City and maybe Arsenal will take them to the cleaners this year. Their defense is still rubbish.
Hopefully he bags a couple against Eibar next week to give him a shot at the record in Madrid!
I'm just hoping injuries don't start to blight them. Ronaldo was looking like he could have been out for a while and Messi was injured four times last season and hasn't really hit top form since. Better for everyone when they are both at their best, which arguably Ronaldo is now.
Arsenal knock in four against Galatasaray with Ozil playing through the centre, then Wenger plays him out wide again where he is completely useless. Wenger confuses me sometimes.
Look at him now compared to when he was at Utd. Looks far more confident playing as a striker and clinical as a result. He will bag plenty of goals for Arsenal.
Beautiful goals from Barca; great move for the first and superb finish by Neymar for the second. One thing this game shows is that they can't defend a set piece for their lives though. Gonna have to work on that.
LOL! No shit!
Gotta say I doubted Neymar when he first came to Europe but now he is looking top drawer. Seems to be full of confidence now.
Yeah, I gotta agree with that. A triangle up front of Neymar and Suarez with Messi in behind is going to be awesome to watch. I love watching Messi play deep and then running at the defense.
Messi and Neymar have definitely clicked this year, and there is a better share of the goals between them now. Neymar has 10 goals in 10 games. Messi had a good part to play in them. Can't wait for the game on Saturday, should be a cracker. Both teams are in great form. Looking forward to seeing Suarez too.
