The most expensive tickets in the league for home games, EPL and Champion's League TV revenues... sure, on paper they shouldn't be able to compete with Man City or Chelsea, but there's no excuse for Arsenal not winning trophies anymore or pushing the best teams in the division all the way. It's not their finances that is the problem, it's their whole attitude. Give the manager 100 million to spend and he'd probably crap his pants. They've turned into a feeder club ...
He's only saying these things to pull the wool over the Rangers fans' eyes and to distract them from, well, everything to do with their sorry club. He's embarrassing himself more and more every day.
Keep dreaming.
Why aren't China the best team in the world then?
You should calm down, it was just a meaningless friendly. A couple of kids got their debuts too, you can't really complain about youth not coming through when they were there for all to see.
He's completely correct, but I think Gerard is more interested in becoming a Liverpool legend than winning anything. Which is fair enough.
You're right, anything can happen and Arsenal could somehow end up challenging, but it's very, very unlikely. And it shouldn't be! They should be up there every year.
They're not. And won't be again until they move into a new era of management and playing/signing philosophy. To think tickets to their match this weekend against Tottenham are upwards of 100 quid. It's embarrassing and insulting to fans. Soulless, sterile football for the middle classes.
Not anymore he isn't, I bet! Not that he's been found out and everyone is against him. It's called karma, Luis. Suck it up.
Arsenal's journey into mediocrity continues...
He's miserable. Not as morbid as Mark Hughes, but still a sour-faced, humourless git.
Hmm... I thought Barcelona were terrible against Celtic. They can't defend to save themselves. Celtic didn't even just sit back and try to play for a point, the second goal, for example, came from a striker substitute who came on FOR A DEFENDER. Celtic saw their opportunity and took it. It's not Celtic's fault if Barcelona are the absolute masters of keeping the ball and ultra-high pressing. Seriously, watching these guys play is intense, the work rate and the skill involved i...
Nope, but it's nearly impossible to take him seriously :)
A white Belgian with an afro. Get a haircut, for chrrisssakes.
Considering Alex Song cost more than the entire Celtic team, this was a phenomenal result. Celtic completely deserved it too, they really did try to push forward and play when they had the ball and not get pushed too far back into defence. This is, of course, easier said than done against a team as relentless as Barcelona, but they managed it.
Rubbish, he intentionally clipped his own leg and fell over without being touched.
Arrogant Brazilian wunderkind, seen it all before. He'll do very well for a good few seasons to come, but I very much doubt he'll ever be considered the world's best player (arguably of all time).
Disgraceful decision stopped Scotland from going 2-0 up. Inexplicable. Bale's a cheat and nobody cares!
Another massive dive against Scotland last night, too. And he's hailed as a hero.
How original!
Wow (sarcasm)
