People said they'd be thrashed at Barcelona. Everyone seems so quick to belittle a team running on a micro-budget. It's never about how good Celtic have done with the most meagre of resources (it's the equivalent of a Championship side qualifying for the last 16), it's always how bad they will do against teams most can only dream of competing against. Money hasn't just ruined football, it's destroyed so many people's appreciation of it too.

Yeah, don't get me wrong, Celtic self-destructed in defence, they deserved to be beaten and Juventus have enough class to punish the best teams in the world when given a chance to, but what was going on in the box tonight was outrageous and the ref did as little as possible to stop it. A bigger team and it would have been dealt with.
I don't want to be THAT guy, but the ref was never going to give Celtic a chance. I couldn't believe my eyes watching this game tonight, some of the stuff going on was utterly astonishing, but, once the dust settles, the only people complaining will be the Celtic fans and Juventus will move onto the next round without breaking sweat. Fantastic, clinical finishing from Juve, but overall they weren't that exciting.
