Does France just want to get humiliated again in the world cup? WTH is going on?
Congrats to Sevilla, their goalkeeper shouldnt be allowed to take so many steps forward though...that and the so called curse on benfica, was a pretty interesting final despite no goals being scored in 120 minutes.
Well Barca has had a lot to struggle with, crisis no way, but they've had multiple issues with the club's president, the neymar transfer issue, Messi being injured for a good portion of the league season, and a horrible defense.
Simeone has parked the bus against Barca on multiple occasions, he'll do it again, no way he'll risk going head to head against Barca in their own stadium and lose la liga...
BTW, Celta Vigo's coach is Luis Enrique, the man in charge of Barca next season(most likely), I knew they'd give Madrid one hell of a match but I was not expecting this lol. I'm happy that Athletico couldn't close it at home and get the win, the league "final" is in Camp Nou, although Barca is struggling a lot, it would be such a crazy sight to see them steal the title from Athletico after such a good season they've had.
Congrats to City! Well deserved, I still feel a bit bad for Gerrard..
Congrats to city! :)
I doubt that, I dont think you give the entire team enough credit...Madrid have been carried by the famous "bbc" that madrid fans talk so much about, a much better defense, and a great manager.
As for barca, they are in no crisis but it is surprising to see that theyre closer to the title than Madrid are given the issues they had to face.
Didnt expect them to drop points with valladolid, madrid with all their great bought talent still couldnt finish above a barca team with club issues, injuries, and horrible defense.
That would actually be a dumb move, because if Madrid loses that last game and Barca intentionally draw or lose that was an opportunity for Barca to actually win the league. Apart from this, I don't know which team would actually hand over a title to its rival...
And...Athletico lost, lol. Now it's Real Madrid who can't slip up, one draw and Barcelona beat Athletico, and barca wins the league, would be a damn miracle in my eyes.
Wow, sucks for Athletico..
It is probably Luis Enrique, although there are other names that I can think of that could be better, but who knows.
I agree with you, I think Athletico will put up a good fight but overall it is Madrids to lose.
Only that Bayern doesn't play as good tiki taka as Barca. Bayern was just playing total football last season, it was fast and intense. Barca somehow actually pulls wins against madrid playing the same ol stubborn tiki taka, probably because with the likes of Iniesta, Xavi, and Messi they make it possible, but Bayern I feel wasn't really ready to take this style to the UCL against teams that have gotten use to this style from playing with Barca.
I'm shocked. But Pep changed this team's style overnight and made them play slow short passing football against a Madrid that has improved greatly and is now faster and smarter. Ronaldo's double just shows how much of an amazing season he has had, his record in the cl, the great partnership with Bale, etc.
Congrats to Madrid for advancing, Chelsea vs. Athletico will be very interesting!
It's nearly impossible, nearly impossible for Madrid not to score, as much as I dislike them they have one of the most, if not the most, powerful offense right now, one goal and bayern has to score three to draw even. If Bayern could take the match to penalties they'd probably win it..
Quite greedy, but then again these are reports, if Messi is pushing for a bigger salary, he picked the worst time to do so, any other year I would agree that he should be the highest paid player, but of course, now this season has been different, things change.
Mediocre by his standards, yes, mediocre when it comes to all football players, not at all. Almost as many goals as Ronaldo in a season where he was injured for a long time, not so bad imo.
They deserved it more, congrats, how long was it? 18 years? Most Barca fans at the Camp Nou were clapping for them after the final whistle, just goes to show how Atletico has won the hearts of many football fans. This also finally puts an end to the agonizing long season for Barca, hopefully they use this as fuel for next season, and finally buy some players.
I really hope Atletico Madrid stay competitive next season with Costa leaving and probably other setbacks.
