Yea I like the way Rojo has played, Mascherano has been excellent. If anything it is the offense that has underwhelmed a bit.
So is it a bust after the World Cup match? No, who the hell judges a defender based on one bad game? In that case Ramos is crap, so is Pepe, so is Hummels(remember his assist to Ronaldo in CL?), yes the price was high but David Luiz is one of the best defenders out there.
Germany is the more complete team, they "deserve" their title, but you never know with this sport. Argentina's defense has surprised me, they have contained a Dutch offense. If Argentina can set the pace of the final, like they've done with every match, they can maybe lean on moment of brilliance. It will be extremely difficult to contain them, but I'm hoping they do. I'm tired of hearing people say Argentina will get raped.
I do not care what an annoying manager with a tired formula does with a world class defender. I only care for how he performs and what he can add to a team. There is also a reason why many top clubs and, coaches wanted this man on their team.

Seeing David Luiz cry like that during the interview... damn dese feelz. I am certain, not predicting, absolutely certain, that he will shine again. This loss cannot be put entirely on him, his quality as a player is not reduced in my opinion. Real Madrid fans kept saying Ramos was crap after their disappointments a few years back, and now look what he did for his team. What happened to those Bayern defenders in the CL? I agree, I was expecting a 2-1 or 3-1 for Germany, but not this. Brazil was winning ugly, but obviously a moment of brilliance as I said before could've given them a crazy win, but the complete opposite happened, Brazil didn't even show up, and doing that against a German side like this? The recipe for complete disaster.
To fault a single player and think he is any less for what happened to Brazil today is foolish, and, pretty strange because I would figure most football fans didn't start watching football yesterday, correct? Name me your favorite defender/player and if he's ever been successful I'll tell you the time his team, and him, were dominated. The team did not function together at all, the entire defensive line was completely lost.

I saw Argentina shut down Belgium for a good portion of that game, I mean yeah they still looked dangerous but I expected at least one goal from them.
So they didn't play better than Cameroon? Mexico did nothing against them, Chile was pretty much an even match. No offense to anyone but if you think the refs are purposely favoring Brazil you are a fool. It would've been extremely easy to give Hulk that goal against Chile, the handball was questionable.
As for playing dirty against Colombia, I saw about 2-3 instances in which Colmbian players flew to the ground on a soft tackle or no contact at all, which one or two...

The two goals today were scored by defenders. Not saying they can do all the work, but maybe Oscar or Hulk can do something, maybe a little bit of brilliance can earn them a win.
I wasn't surprised that some were celebrating Neymar's injury, when your team gets completely outdone bitterness takes over. If not Brazil, I hope Argentina can crash the possibility of a Dutch and German final, and take the win.

I have no idea why Klinnsman put in Wondo(misses possible winning goal), he's horrible. Then again, Altidore was injured, but any other choice would've been better. Argentina vs. Belgium will be a big match, Switzerland was causing havoc on Argentina's defense on counters, and Belgium is faster and more of a complete team.
I mean yeah Messi is just selfish as hell, pointing at his teammates almost every time he scores, or up at the sky(does he think he's a god?), while other players thank their thigh muscle or piss off the home crowd...unbelievable
