Luka Modric has apologised to Tottenham for missing their pre-season tour of USA, a move welcomed by Spurs manager Andre Villas-Boas.
Modric has been pushing for a move away from White Hart Lane and refused to travel with the side after Tottenham called on interested clubs to up their offer for the Croatia international.
Villas-Boas declined to name his side's asking price for their star man but gave a revealing insight into the current situation.
