The age argument about Hernandez is pretty irrelevant. Benzema and Higuaín are both only 6 months older than him.

Hernandez (United 2010)- Total Games 94 - Total Goals 40.

Benzema (Madrid 2010) - Total Games 115 - Total Goals 63.

Higuaín (Madrid 2010) - Total Games 94 - Total Goals 47. Higuaín also missed 4 months in the 2010-11 season with a serious back injury.

The Sun... Completely credible source... /s

Hernandez isn't world class yet and he's inconsistent as hell. Why would Real want Hernandez when they have 2 better strikers?

Stun... hardly. Sky (more like English press) getting desperate because only United won and it wasn't that convincing. 0-2 at home against Braga? Seriously? Any decent side would of demolished United.

So yeah, English press can't praise English teams because they were shit, so they go and attack Madrid since they were the only Spanish team to lose this week in the Champions League.

Dortmund are a good side, especially at home. City was bossed for 90 m...

Doesn't surprise me one iota. On their day, without doubt, they're one of the best teams ever. However, when they're 2nd best or off form, they cheat more than any other team going.

"I can't choose between Messi and Ronaldo" then choose your captain you Madrid legend! Love del Bosque, would love him to manage Madrid again, just need Perez to piss off. :D

He'll get there if he puts the effort in but he isn't there yet. He needs to win consistently at club and nation level. He hasn't got a clean sheet yet has he, earned his keep though.

Finally he admits the obvious!

Would Puyol or Vidić be worth £40m around age 24-26 in their prime? Possibly IMO.

Not saying Ramos is better than both but he's played as good as both in the last year and probably better (IMO) since they've had injuries.

Barry b*llsh!t, He isn't going anywhere. Boring rumours on slow days at the news desk.

£40m is about right for his age and talent though.

Casillas "has been shockingly bad for ages"? Did you just say that? Did you really just say that?

Casillas played 68 games last season (for club and country) and had 30 clean sheets in total. Broken several records, won the League and Euro championships. Exceptional keeper that keeps on getting better with age. 12 years in the Spanish squad and winning captain in all 3 major wins for the national side. He also played a critical role in all 3 tournaments.

And like I said... Did you watch the game? That's probably the best game Joe Hart had in his life! (minus his mistakes)

Complete domination through passing, City couldn't get the ball unless it was a goal kick and were giving it away to Madrid almost every time they had it.

Madrid could of been 3 or 4 up in the first half alone if it wasn't for Joe Hart's top draw saves and could of scored more in the second half but his heroics saved City'...

Hit and hope? Did you watch the game? That's probably the best game Joe Hart had in his life! (minus his mistakes)

30 shots, 17 on target with some coming close off target. He made several top saves. If Pantilimon was playing, it could of been 8 goals in Madrid's favour!

Yaya Touré was the only player wanting to win the game for City. The others were content with a point. He was the only one making runs and bombing forward.

Yaya Touré, developed and made world class at Barca.

The facts don't lie. Madrid outplayed the champions of the Premier League. One break and one extremely lucky goal wasn't enough to hold back the champions of La Liga.

Every stat was in Madrid's favour besides cards and offsides... Two stats you don't want!

2nd team in Madrid (5th in Spain) just destroyed the Chelsea, Champions of Europe! :D

Did Chelsea forget their big blue bus?!

Damn Chelsea!
Real Madrid 4 - 1 Atlético Madrid 26/11/2011.
Atlético Madrid 1 - 4 Real Madrid 11/4/2012.

Chelsea's team (Stating XI + 3 Subs) cost them £227.7 million with only Bertrand from their academy.

Rafa is a Liverpool Legend! He got Liverpool back to the top for several years and almost won the league. His managerial career was destroyed by the previous owners. Totally sad really.

Tony Fernandes is pretty rich but he's not a billionaire. He's also got an F1 team in Caterham.

Good group on paper but Madrid should be able to walk into the knock-out phase. 12 goals to nil against Ajax in the last two years. Madrid have built their squad were as Ajax have sold their best players.

Dortmund's Champions League run wasn't anything to shout about. Again Madrid should fine these fixtures rather easy.

City will obviously be the "Real" challenge ( pun intended :D ). Although City have been hopeless in both European competit...
