Rashford has a long long long way to go before he's considered building a team around worthy. Right now he's not much different to Macheda when he scored that vital goal against Villa, he could go either way. If Utd are going to build their team around someone, it should be Martial, he reminds me so much of a young Henry.
Stating the obvious isn't harsh.
To think they are out of their mind would be to imply they were recently sane.. many of their decisions in recent years have been silly, this wouldn't surprise me in the slightest and they'll just be moving further away from Barcelona in the process. The most logically sane decision they could make would be to force Perez out imho.
Honestly, other than LVG, does anyone out there still respect his gameplan? Fellaini is probably right to defend his manager though, he'll be one of the first deadweights out the door if LVG is replaced.
It's not a gamble for Chelsea, he's probably hungry for a chance to prove himself at a big club again however it's a huge and imho, stupid risk for Pato. He might as well pick a spot on the Chelsea's bench where he'll be spending 90% of games not to mention he's in a much tougher league than the other prestigious ones.
I'd laugh but I'm sure everyone was laughing when he said he could sign Figo all those years ago.
I thought Chelsea was essentially a done deal or has Pato came to his senses? Either way, I hope he sets his sights a little lower and proves himself at a team where he is all but guaranteed first team football, he used to be very exciting to watch before his injuries.
Rafa Benitez happened. Stylistically he just isn't the right fit for a team like Madrid but I guess when you go through managers as fast as RM do, it's not like they have much better options.
Honestly, the only time he'll be perceived as being better than Messi is when Messi gets older and it starts to show. Neymar will likely go down as one of the best Brazilians of all time but Messi is on another level.
^^^ Was thinking the same, I've seen 9 year olds playing alongside 14-16 year olds and holding their own.
That's a fear? I really don't see it happening but I'm pretty sure everyone at Utd would welcome him with open arms.
I really hope this is just a ploy by Mourinho to divert media attention away from the fact Chelsea not only dropped two points but played poorly against a team who is likely to finish in the bottom half of the table. If he's deadly serious and really puts the blame on the Doctor, that's a new low, even for him.
Risks? Damage is done. He'll never live this down now and if the media reports are true that he's refusing to go on preseason tour with Liverpool, then rightly so. Even as a Utd fan, I can't believe the audacity of this kid. He owes a lot to both Liverpool and Rodgers for giving him the chance and getting him where he is.
Rafa is a great tactician but his player management skills leave much to be desired. At a place as big as Madrid, he will need to get off to a flying start otherwise he'll lose the dressing room fast.
I won't go as far as predicting a trophy-less season but really, I fail to see how Rafa is anything but a step down from the far more decorated Ancelotti.
Any President with integrity would do the decent thing and step down after having such an embarrassing thing happen on their watch.. chances are we stand a better chance of seeing pigs fly.
Ancelloti should have been kept on another season at least, a few mistakes here and there but Real Madrid didn't lose the league, Barcelona won it.
If they replace him with Benitez, I can't wait to see what an absolute trainwreck next season will be. But hey, as a Utd fan maybe I can look at the bright side and dare to dream of Ronaldo returning to Old Trafford.
Early contender for worst kit of the new season.
15m for Pedro? That sounds like a bargain. If he was English, he'd cost 50m.
Chelsea fans staying classy as always.
The signing is already going down very well with the "Welcome to Zlatan, Manchester" sign that was put up. Utd fans love a good character, providing he still has what it takes to be successful in such a strong league as the Prem, he's going to adored by the fans.
