Never thought I wouldn't be happy with a 6-1 win...
It was nice to see Oscar playing in a deeper role. He's not too shabby at defending, and we desperately need someone like him who can distribute the ball well in the holding midfield.
Such a shame...Wenger is a great manager. The "fans" that want him gone don't deserve to be called fans. Do they forget what Wenger has done for them? For Arsenal? Haven't Arsenal constantly been in the top 4 and always been in the champions league for the past decade, all thanks to Wenger? Is that not good enough for those "fans"?
@Jony_dols
I know what you're saying. I was/am a big fan of Torres. I can tell he's trying his hardest even though he's struggling. I don't mean to hate on Torres. I'm not dissapointed in Torres, I'm just dissapointed by the fact that people are trying to pin Di Matteo's dismissal on Torres' poor recent form.
Torres is still great. Form is temporary, Talent is forever. I'm just sad because I don't know if Chelse...
No, that story is a bunch of bullshit. Think about it... Torres has been playing like crap lately. Why the hell would Abramovich axe Di Matteo for benching Torres, a player that was not playing well at all?
On top of that, why the hell is Chelsea trying to get a new striker (aka Falcao, Cavani, etc.) if "Torres is doing just fine." It's just that. Torres isn't playing well, therefore the team suffers, therefore Chelsea's chance of winning trophies th...
Barcelona are just very lucky. It's insane how many times they were on the verge of losing and then all of a sudden Messi pulls 2 goals out of his ass in like the last 5 minutes. The way I see it though, Madrid has a very good shot in Champions league, so it's not all bad, Madrid fans :)
QPR have a decent squad, so maybe now that they have a good manager they'll finally start winning some games.
Pep is good, Mourinho is great, but Sir Alex Ferguson is the best of the best.
Damn, I think Chicarito is the most in-form striker in the epl so far this season! How many goals does he have so far? Add to that the fact that he usually comes on as a sub.
@buddymagoo
Did I say anywhere in my comment that I expect Pep at Chelsea anytime soon? All I said is that Abramovich is going to throw some serious cash Pep's way.
Say what you will, but Abramovich won't stop that easily trying to get Pep. I'm guessing he's willing to go all out trying to get him. You clearly don't know how persuasive money can be, so we'll see what happens when it's all set and done.
I am absolutely in love with their attack!
Pep is the one guy Abramovich wants more than anybody in the world. I assume if Pep says no at first, Abramovich will just keep increasing the money until he says yes.
We're in dire need of reinforcements in the back and at the front, and I'm assuming Roman noticed. I'm just wondering who Benitez has in mind for signing...
...how does Abramovich expect Benitez will do any better than Roberto?
Well, it seems like this season is turning into a downward spiral... My goodness, what a fall from grace, and in only 1 month. Looks like i'll be taking a break from football for a short while, maybe start focusing more on school...
I am honestly speechless...did not see this coming, at least not this soon...
You have a great team with a great mentality because you've been with the same manager for the last 20 some years. We'll never reach that type of success if all our managers get sacked less than a year into their job.
He's just happy all the focus on city's disastrous European campaign is now on Chelsea...at least until tomorrow.
As much as I, a die-hard Chelsea, don't think we deserve it, there is still a good chance we make it to the next round. As long as we win the next game at home, and Juventus lose against Shakhtar, we're in.
Juventus were all-around the better team. They were More clinical, created better chances, and just looked like they actually wanted the win.
I think benching Torres is the right thing to do. Torres has started every game he was available for so far this season, so he could be fatigued. More importantly though, starting Sturridge would be a warning for Torres and show him that he needs to pick up his game if he wants to be our main striker in the coming games.
All the "Torres can't score" memes are coming back...I don't know how he snapped out of his goal-scoring drought last season, but he...
What did he do?
I don't know why but November is always hell month for Chelsea. Chelsea have some rather "easy" fixtures coming up, so now's a good a time as ever for them to regain form.
