It wasn't luck. It was Chelsea taking advantage of Arsenal's horrible set pieces and shaky defense.
lol, a 6 month lucky run seems more plausible to these guys than just accepting that Chelsea are legitimate title contenders.
Exactly. There's a difference between saying something stupid in the heat of the moment and actually being racist.
Good game. The score-line would've much crazier if the players were more clinical with their chances (which there were plenty of)
I'm just as confused as you...
Arsenal played the best football for a majority of the game, so I'm happy they at least got a point out of it.
I can see this going in one of two ways:
A) Torres gets out of slump, hits form again, problem solved.
B) Torres fails to get better, Sturridge is used more often, and a player like Cavani or Falcao is bought in the winter.
I really want it to be option A because I'm a Torres fan, but if he doesn't pick up the slack soon, there's really nothing that can be done.
We've got some big games coming up within the ne...
Unless Chelsea plan on buying at least one or two good strikers during the winter transfer period, there is no way in hell this is going to happen.
RDM isn't stupid, he wouldn't sell Sturridge. Then we'd be with just one striker, while at the same time both Manchester clubs have 3 or 4.
So he had one bad game (usually he's decently reliable), what of it.
What these so-called fans are doing is simply unnaceptable and should be punished. It's sickening to see how mean and outright disgusting these people get...
And that's exactly what Mourinho should do. Real have some of the best players in the world, but something's been going on there for the past few weeks. I don't know if its the attitudes, Morinho, or something completely different, but Real have not been their regular selves recently.
That win against Man City should probably do the trick and pull them out of this slump.
Where have I heard this before? Oh yeah, pretty much all last year.
"Chelsea will lose the next game, that's for sure". -goes on to win Champions Leauge-
When we win, it's luck. When we lose, we suck. That's pretty much the mentality I see here from you guys...
shitty defense seems to be the case with most teams right now
I highly doubt it was just "luck" that got Chelsea through the next 5 games after Napoli (2x benefica, 2x Barcelona, and Bayern final). Yes, luck played a role, but so did great defending, a solid counter-attack, and the big man, Drogba.
Dissapointing result considering we had a 2 point lead. Defense just kept getting sloppier as the match went on.
I will admit I was a bit surprised when I saw Oscar in place of Mata, but I guess it worked well, haha.
Juve are pretty much the toughest this group is going to get though, so I expect positive results from here on out.
If drogba does get released, I'd love to see him at Juventus!
So many late goals! The last half hour was crazy.
Toure was class!
Bertrand is not too shabby. He's pretty straight-forward as a player, so I can see why Di Matteo plays him, but he plays him as a midfielder. To me that's a bit odd. For now, I think Di Matteo should only play Bertrand as a left back (so only when Cole isn't playing.)
We should start playing Marin and Moses more often, seeing as they're "real" wingers.
Great game from Barcelona yet again.
Slightly Off-Topic: I hate this kit!
The Ref missed a couple of clear penalties...
Score-line doesn't tell the full story. Nordsjaelland played valiantly and gave us quite a few scares. Petr Cech was great tonight!
