First it was Southampton, now its Reading. My oh my, this will definitely be an interesting season.
Hazard again with a great game. Man of the match for me. 5 assists in 2 games!
Mata should not have played today. Despite his solid performance in the midfield, he did not look himself. He looked more lethargic and his passes weren't as accurate as they normally are. You could see it in his face, he looked very tired. Di Matteo himself said he does...
Good for QPR! Carvalho, Bosingwa, and now Dawson. Certainly doing a good job fortifying their defense.
Hulk did say he wants to leave Porto and move on, so maybe Porto will budge and sell him cheaper to Chelsea?
It would be great to seem him at the bridge, as he can play as both a striker and a winger.
Not this again... Yes Pele, we've heard you the first 10 times. Neymar CAN be better than Messi, but until he comes to Europe and plays against the best teams, I won't believe it.
No matter how many great players leave Arsenal, it always remains a great club. This sort of scenario seems to happen every year: "good players leave arsenal. Critics begin prophesying Arsenal's demise. Arsenal makes do without said player. Arsenal always achieve a top 4 finish." This is why I have a great respect for your club.
He's young and he has some great talent. In 4-5 years who knows where he'll be
Great news! Chelsea desperately needed a RB (Ivanovic can't do it all on his own!). Now Chelsea should be good to go, but another holding midfielder and/or striker wouldnt hurt. Not that I don't trust Torres and Sturridge, but what if one of them gets injured? Since Lukaku is out on loan an injury to either Torres or Sturridge would be very detrimental for Chelsea.
Chelsea are off to a good start. Really happy with how Hazard is playing. Oscar looked great too, even though he wasn't on that long (came really close to scoring though). I cringed when Torres' shot was cleared right by the line. So close!
On a different note, I think Mata should be rested the next game or two. He's played a lot this summer so RDM probably doesn't want to overplay him early on this season.
Yeah, he's got the raw talent, just not enough experience.
This is a win all around. West Brom get a talented young striker for the season, and Lukaku gets the experience he needs (which in turn also benefits Chelsea)
I honestly think Torres will have a great season. He's been looking rejuvenated as of late. He also scored a great goal today (albeit it was set up on a silver platter by Mata)
Everybody has a bad game every now and then. Hazard shouldn't be hyped up too much, because when eventually he does hit a slump, critics will instantly call him a flop and a waste of money. No man should have their transfer fee looming over their shoulders.
Well that was pretty bad. oh well, good job Brighton!
No, he wasn't.
Yeah I'm really excited to see what RDM can do with a full year managing Chelsea, and what kind of tactics he'll use, and what players he'll get, and ughh...I'm just so pumped!!
Well city was the new Chelsea haha
Haha I'm a Chelsea fan and that made lol.
+ bubble
@ Kur0
And hopefully a good winger is on the way (probably either hulk or hazard)
Amazing game for Newcastle, very much so deserved the win. Chelsea did not play that great, which is Dissapointing considering how well they've been doing the last couple of months. Torres looked great though, so at least Di Matteo has that to be happy about.
I'm confused as to why Essien was chosen for the cover image on that site. Wouldn't a pic of Schurrle be more relevant?
I think if Leverkusen agree to these terms it'll be a good buy for Chelsea. Schurrle is a talented (and young) player that can help them up front. He's a good player and won't cost nearly as much as Cavani or Hulk.
