Good to see a manager who is passionate and not afraid to show it.
Rooney to be sent packing in the summer?
Good article and I couldn't agree more with many of the points made.
Assuming they get relegated (which looks to be a nailed on certainty) Harry will leave them in the summer and so will many of their overpayed journeymen players, once all of the rats have abandoned ship they'll do well to steady the boat and remain in the Championship.
I feel deeply sorry for the fans but it's hard to have sympathy for owners who think they can buy a place in the...
Champions League referees need to brush up on the offside rule, it's embarrassing that the supposed pinnacle of European football has such poor officiating, they even have idiots with sticks behind each goal and still manage to do a worse job than the very worst Premier League referee.
United have looked poor all season but they kept digging out results, that's all it takes to win the league.
What's negative about a lesser team doing what it takes not to lose? if Barcelona want teams to attack them more then they can start by allowing the opposition to have the ball.
Retirement from what? getting payed obscene amounts of money to keep subs benches and physio rooms warm?
Tackles like McManaman's take place every week all over the world, 99% of the time there is no contact and nobody bats an eyelid. Yes it was wreckless but he's really not done anything out of the ordinary, the only reason this incident is getting so much attention and vitriol is because it resulted in an injury.
This has to be one of the worst sendings off I've ever seen, the LA Galaxy player needs to be retroactively punished for play acting and the referee sent for an eye examination.
I didn't think Chivas were particularly 'physical' but LA Galaxy seem to model themselves on Barcelona/Real Madrid and try to get opposition players sent off at every opportunity.
I've seen at least 5 incidents since then which could have justified the same punishment and none were given as red cards, for most of them play just continued.
I suppose it doesn't help when it happens against play acting Spaniards in a tournament that Blatter and co. like the Spanish giants to get far in, he probably has wet dreams about an El Classico final and orders the officials to try to make it so.
Should have got rid of him much sooner or better still not signed him at all, Drogba even now is a much better striker and Lukaku looks to be very promising replacement for him.
Well he can hardly say that he thinks Madrid were the better team because it would be an outright lie.
Real Madrid were hardly a threat until the sending off, Mourinho claims that Modric was the difference but the whole Madrid team got more room to play once United were numerically outnumbered, the media keeps banging on about Ronaldo scoring but up until then he was kept quiet.
Even with 10 men United gave as good as they got.
It seems like Fabregas is Barcelona's unofficial spokesperson the number of articles about him, does he do interviews whilst sitting on the bench?
If they stayed up then they were obviously not crap, QPR this year on the other hand are without a doubt one of if not the worst teams in the league and deserve to be relegated.
Easier said than done.
Ronaldo will forever be in Messi's shadow playing in La Liga, when he realises that I wouldn't be surprised to see him coming back to the Premier League... if he refuses to sign a new contract at Madrid they will have no choice but to sell him, it would be madness to let him leave on a free transfer.
I imagine any player would enjoy having a lot of the ball rather than chasing, Barcelona's style is too boring for me though I'd rather a team more direct like Man UTD than pass it sideways in midfield for several minutes.
Liverpool would have won this tie easily if they hadn't wasted so many goal scoring chances in the first leg and conceded silly goals.
Suarez' second freekick last night was sublime, shame he couldn't hit a barn door in the first leg.
Like I just said in another article, the board don't care about trophies it's all about finishing top four for the Champions League money.
As long as Arsenal continue finishing top four they'll continue to back Wenger.
'Horrific' is a bit strong, it was a very naughty stamp that is all.
Should it have been a red card? yes. Did the referee see it? no, the FA can't act because a free kick was given.
Football will become a farce like Formula One if the FA start dishing out retrospective punishments for every incident a referee gets wrong.
