Referee played his part again. Pepe gets sent off last year for nothing and Messi gets away with a yellow. He should of been sent off later in the game for a clear second yellow.

Say that again, dozens of players have become Premier League stars with games after leaving Leagues where they were average. Kun Agüero was nothing "major" in Spain, quality player that scored 74 goals in 175 games but nothing special. He was never at the very top of the score sheets, finished 2nd one season but 11 behind Messi and last 20 behind Ronaldo. Now in the Premier League (11 goals in 13 games) he's scoring for fun... funny that.

Yaya Touré and Balotelli are Champions League winners. Silva played Champions League football for years and is a World Champion. de Jong has been playing European football since 2002. Clichy and Nasri played against Barca last year (Should of won but for the 1 second red card against RVP). Kun Agüero is a Europa League champion as well.
The team has bags of experience.
I'd argue Real had a group just as hard;
Zagreb put up a harder fight against Madrid in both games than Villarreal have in 2 seasons.

Half of the replacements could have better careers period. Players like; Thiago, Javi Martinez, Bojan, Muniain and Morata have big futures regardless. Thiago is practically replacing Xavi at Barca as well speak. Javi Martinez is looking outstanding; young, extremely talented and has 12+ years to play internationally minimum. Bojan hasn't had the rub of the green recently but still is a high class player, Muniain is exceptional and under 20 plus Morata will ...
