What can I say, BBC can't help it either.

30 games in 3 campaigns, only 8 wins in Europe. 35 goals for, 31 against. Laughable considering they were Prem Champions once and FA Cup winners twice during those 3 campaigns. Not to mention all the money they have spent failing.

I remember the owners saying they'd win it after 3 year...

"Iffy results"... These are supposed to be the best teams in world football by miles. Playing the best brand of football. Playing the most exciting football!

Liverpool scrapes a lucky result against an amateur team with a new debuting 4th choice keeper and Arsenal get humiliated against Dortmund missing 6 1st team players!

Again "Iffy results" = common place for Prem teams;

Decent team performance, shame about the goal (Ramos running out of position making the through ball on to the goal). Nacho played well, Casillas made a great 1 on 1 save just a few feet from him too. Modric was superb as he usually is, Kroos & James will get better and Bale could be less wasteful as well.

Carlo getting his tactics spot on as always in a cup competition match, he clearly cares more about UCL than La Liga.

Fun fact; In 18 complete seasons ...

Lucky Liverpool! A post and terrible defensive / goalkeeping handed them a win.

Unconvincing Liverpool and laughable Arsenal aren't sending the so called message that the Premier League is the "best league", far from it.

Completely agree Zefros, Real were just as good as Atléti if not better throughout the game. Atléti took their chances, Real didn't.

Benzema is too inconsistent, can score several goals in a few games then not score at all for half a dozen games. They should have sold him to Arsenal from £40m~, kept di Maria instead.

European champions, not much longer losing games like this. 2-0 up, lets play like the game is won already. :/

Ramos didn't mark his man leading to 2-1.
No one making Zurutuza, free header, did well though. 2-2.
Ramos and Carvajal were pathetic.
Vela's goal shouldn't have counted, but Madrid didn't deserve anything anyway.

Terrible result.

@asmith2306 - That's why Casillas has won every final he's played as Madrid keeper.
That's why Casillas almost had more clean sheets than Lopez with 8 games played less.
That's why out of the 4 competitions Lopez was #1 in 2 years, Madrid won nothing whilst Madrid won both Copa del Rey & Champions League with Casillas in goal.

People forget how well Casillas played in the knockout Champions League rounds, especially the quarters against Dor...

Pretty sure that's his PR doing him a favour. Plenty of stories of him with Arbeloa making comments about Casillas and him claiming to be better whilst on plane back to Madrid recently.

Hate to say I was right... Don't! Modric and Kroos as holding two! ;) Both had superb games too. Both debutants had decent games in fact.

Madrid has had a poor per-season yet turned good tonight with style. Not even close to full fitness yet outplayed Sevilla throughout. Sevilla was brave towards the end though, I'll give them that.

Bitter Lopez leaves Madrid without class whilst Captain Casillas lifts yet another trophy!

Hala Madrid!...

4-2-3-1 and 4-3-3 changed on the fly. Look at the players he had on the pitch, both systems could be used and changed freely during matches, which happened almost every game.

Khedira will go, probably Di Maria too. Isco has to stay, Madrid need subs for those attacking positions, especially if 1 of them gets injured.

2 #10s? I'm pretty sure Madrid will be using Kroos for other duties than attacking midfielder. No doubt behind the attacking 3 with Modric.

He's a winger / attacking midfielder, not an out an out forward.

Ronaldo, Rodriguez, Bale with Benzema up top. Isco & Di Maria as subs for the attacking 3 and Jese for Benzema.

Here some perspective; Sami Khedira, injured most of the season, only played 23 games for club and country, yet is a Champions League and World Cup winner in the same year! Insane!

Congrats to Germany, best team in the tournament... Clearly not on the night. Argentina were superior in the 90 minutes, just Über wasteful. ;) Messi's final freekick was laughably bad though.

This however, guarantees Ronaldo getting Ballon d'Or.

Somehow I completely agree with you... hahaha

Absolute shambles, I thought Thiago Silva would steady the ship for Brazil... I was clearly wrong.
Thiago should have gone, Luiz was beyond useless yet again.
PSG needs to worry big time now, them on an average day seem a massive liability. Guess they'll play the, "We'll score more goals that you" game. :/

Perez was wiped-out in the 2nd half running on goal, no card.
Messi chopped down several times, only Vlaar got near him with clear tackles. Jordy Clasie virtually pushed him every time instead of winning the ball.
Vlaar essentially tried a rugby tackle on Higuaín to stop him from keeping the ball in play near the far corner (Kuyt's wing).

Both teams had their moments, I'd still say the Dutch were more dirty.

Fair result however yo...

Argentina created more chances, had more shots and more importantly, more on target.
The Nederlands took 99 minutes to get a shot on target against Romero.
Robben had a 3rd of ball touches when compared with Messi.
The Dutch played a very defensive game, even though they had more ball control.

Pretty much called this, Argentina were superior throughout with only 1 chance for The Nederlands blocked by Mascherano, 10/10 performance by him in my opinion.

The Dutch have slowed down since beating Spain, barely got passed Costa Rica. So both teams that beat Spain didn't make it all the way + Brazil got Mullered too. :)

Messi for World Cup glory, would be fantastic to see. Germany have crumbled before, could easily happen again on Sunday.

Not an issue when Madrid could have J.Rodríguez coming in. Looking to be a better and more complete attacking winger than Di Maria + 4 years younger.
