I didn't have a problem with Spain losing. Spain didn't deserve the penalty and Costa should have been sent off. Looking back, Casillas was exposed by Pique / Ramos in all the goals besides his mistake which created Van Persie's 2nd goal. He made several top saves too, including Sneijder's chance + double save, 2nd being Robben's volley.

Again, Spain won't win it but neither will The Nethe...

Everyone here knows I'm a massive Spanish football supporter but no major complaints here.

Spain's penalty was never a penalty. Costa should have been sent off. Pique nor Ramos was at the races. Casillas had probably his worst game ever. Not 1 Spanish player looked good on the ball. Saying that, The Netherlands were very dirty throughout the game and were lucky not to see red as Costa should.

Netherlands' 3rd goal should have not counted, Casillas...

Moments of the game;
Marcelo with an unlucky own goal.
Neymar gifted a 2nd chance with a yellow, should have seen red.
Fred slips, ref hands Brazil an outrageous penalty.
Croatia denied a 2nd goal as Julio Cesar was "impeded".
Oscar takes on tiring Croatian defence as keeper fails to save at near post.

Brazil is all hype and no substance at the moment. Croatia is nowhere near quarter-final quality and Brazil needed some "...

Real's Man of the Match had to be di Maria. Worked his socks off the whole game. Bale was super wasteful through, glad he scored though. Marcelo and Isco were epic subs by King Carlo.

Atlético should be super proud of their 1st 90 minutes!

However... La Décima! La Décima! La Décima! La Décima! La Décima! La Décima! La Décima! La Décima! La Décima! La Décima!

Couldn't have said it better.

4 semi-finalists out of 8 (Champions League and Europa League semis). 3 out of the 4 teams made the Finals

La Liga title-decider between top 2. And a Copa del Rey final to remember for years to come.

Top of the class, yet again. Only last year being a blip.

Madrid rested several key players and had injuries. Real have their eye on the obsession rather than the league.

Let Barca and Atletico fight it out for the league. Madrid best XI will be rested for the big one.

Carlo is smart enough to know Real was an outside shot for the league and has winning experience in Champions League finales.

What Scrivlar said! :)

Not bad considering Real could have a cup double.

Champions League > La Liga any day!

3641d ago 2 agree1 disagreeView comment

More like Ramos dropped it, any cup is something and beating Barca makes it more worth it.

Champions League is the obsession. Champions League > La Liga, it's always been that way. Same with Milan in Serie A.

Well that's that, Champions League still to play for though. Regardless what happens, Copa is better than nothing, I.e. we won nothing last year.

It would be good for La Liga, but Real could have a chance, a very slim chance at a treble!

Didn't see this coming, this year in all fairness. After Barca and Sevilla league defeats I thought the league was done and drawing Bayern seemed like a deathwish. Even the Copa wasn't a given against Barca.

Probably the most unlikely treble if Real does win the lot though, not even on top form too.

What a goal by Ronaldo!

Also, if Barca beat Atlético on the final day and Real win all their remaining games, the table would look like this.

1. Real Madrid - 92 pts
2. FC Barcelona - 91 pts
3. Atlético Madrid - 91 pts

Insane if it does happen. Probably won't though.

Furthermore; The top 3 didn't win this weekend, and people claim the league is easy for the top teams, just like the Premier Le...

Fair points, just sick of seeing talents getting taken from teams the second they "come good".

How many strikers have Atlético lost in 10 years? Torres, Aguero, Falcao and now Costa.

Don't have a problem with Deigo at Atlético, nor him making problems for Real. Competition is good and makes La Liga look better too. Hope Atlético can get a great replacement that wants to be loyal for more than a few years.

Another shambles, going for money rather than fame. Chelsea has won nothing this year whilst at Atlético, he could have a double.

Money players, hope you rot. This coming from a Real fan.

That's why Barca has lost to 5 different teams that doesn't include either Madrid side.

Atlético 3 times to neither Barca or Madrid.

Not to mention Spain has the most Champions League titles in the last 20 years and most Europa League titles in the last 20 years.

Argument is old and dead. La Liga is lightyears ahead of the Premier League, deal with it.

Or not, Carlo has always been a cup manager and Madrid beat Atlético at a canter in the other cup competition they played each other in.

Real won the semis in the Copa del Rey against Atlético by 5-0, don't think they need to worry too much. If Ronaldo, Bale and Di Maria are fit, it really is Real's to lose.

All Madrid final!!! La Liga rules the world of football again, yet again!

3653d ago 3 agree3 disagreeView comment

It was a joke, hence why I've had the "hahaha" and ":D" in my comments.

Real turned them over 5-0 in the Copa semis, and Chelsea will park the bus tomorrow and if they make the final, that is for sure.

Spain football had an off year last. Tito having cancer treatment and Jose being the big kid he is, losing the team in the process.

Bayern turned Barca over last year, Madrid just did the same to Bayern. La Liga takes its place at the top of European football again. :)

Only thing stopping La Decima is a bus, let's see which one tomorrow. :D
