Like I said the other day, utterly average in every position and only Neymar looked a world beater!

http://11x2.com/news/154372...

I think people just went crazy for them because they beat a dated Spain system. Assuming because they did, they're the new standard, clearly not. The Netherlands did that too but needed penalties to beat...

He only celebrated his 88th birthday on the 4th too, heart attack the next day. One the greatest ever player has gone.

Legend on and off the pitch, at least he witnessed La Decima before he died.

Deserved really, great decision by LVG too.

Off topic, why is it "Holland" in the title? Holland is only 2 regions in the entire nation of The Netherlands!

The Brazil teams that have won 5 World Cups in the past are far superior to this World Cup team. Plenty of pundits have said if this Brazil team win it, they'll be the worst of the lot, and I totally agree.

They have nothing special about them besides Neymar, who was outclassed by J.Rodríguez in this match + the tournament. Every other player has been below average and they've ridden their luck and gotten away with it. Not to mention referees have given them way ...

My thoughts exactly asmith2306, all I could think about last night was; 'If Brazil can't win the World Cup, FIFA will have to win it for them'. Referees have carried them through games, sad really.

Hope Argentina win it myself.

J.Rodríguez-Bale-Ronaldo
Falcao

Don't think anyone could match that, I'd go for James Rodríguez over Falcao though, if Madrid only get 1. James is younger and looks way more talented, not to mention Benzema was superb this World Cup whilst Falcao is injured + older.

You can't win it all, just every now and then. Unless you're England, once and only once it seems.

70% fit Suarez tears England apart.

England is the 3rd ranked team in this group, they'd do good to finish 3rd too.

Doesn't it?!

The under 23s Olympic team win everything leading up to that competition too! They used their same system and the team they played worked them out.

Same thing happened here, Spain's tactics have been found out and he shouldn't suit them anymore. Alonso, and Iniesta and Xavi don't have the same time on the ball as they once did. Teams work to close them down, not to mention they've got older, especially Xavi, he looked out of i...

It's sad when people are so bitter about life they have to do this.

It's funny too because Spain are still holders till the final. They still hold the Euro Championship. Madrid has the Champions League and Sevilla has the Europa League. Spain currently hold all major international titles at club & international level.

Let them be bitter Nes, they'll understand good football one day (or maybe not)!

Congrats to Chile, they played better and with more intensity from the start.

Vicente del Bosque's biggest mistake was using Barca's system of play. They haven't win anything in 12 months and they fluked that anyway. 1 trophy in 2 years showed signs it was done. The other big mistake was leaving winners out of his squad, like Carvajal and Navas. Both provide width, pace and cornering prowess.

Spain in this World Cup reminded me of their Under 23s ...

Brazil looking average yet again, Marcelo should be embarrassed too!

Well done Mexico! Ochoa has been a class keeper for years and years! A steal for any team wanting him, he's out of contract right now!

Golden generation? Please, better sides will murder them. Euro 2014 will be their time to shine however, that's if they do.

- Again, not arguing against my opinions just against me, ad hominem and nothing more. I don't really care that you and others do it. It just shows how right I am, how you can't defend your position and how I win the arguments by default because you have to use ad hominem attacks instead of debating your point. SWEET!

I was brought up to support Manchester United yet wasn't born in Manchester. I was brought up as a Catholic too, young minds ...

"it probably should have been 2-2" - Yeah, whilst Italy hit the woodwork twice and Balotelli had a chance cleared on the line. Italy earned that win, England deserved to lose, not clinical enough.

- So you can't argue against my comments and turn to ad hominem? Sad, but expected. As above, born in West Yorkshire and lived in West Yorkshire all my life.

It's sad that most of the world think England has the best football or the best teams or the best league. Nothing indicates that when ...

They looked more average than usually yet could have won 5-1 anyway. England is "coming home" sooner rather than later.

Italia hit the woodwork twice and had a goal line clearance. England had 19 shots, 5 only on target.

Italy looked pretty average against this poor England side. Uruguay can take heart from that. None in this group will win mind.

What's wrong with saying Barca were smashed?! Or Chelsea still being retards?! Both factual and depicting reality! :)

Chelsea sacked Roberto after he won the Champions League and Barca didn't get anything out of a 7-0 result.

That isn't immature, it is pointing out reality!

Citations needed still!

The film, 'Rain Man' is based on Kim Peek! Jeez! And again, he hated people asking him math questions because ...

Citations needed, show me where I've done that. If you can then fair enough.

My comments are my opinions regarding football and specific games. However, most of my comments are grounded with facts and depict the reality of the situation.

Again, citations needed!

FYI, rain man didn't pull numbers out his head. If you watched documentaries about the man, Kim Peek, he was extremely terrible at math and hated people asking numerical quest...
