It does massively detract the best players but it isn't impossible to get some of them, wages will play a massive factor. Especially in the alleged Kroos deal
To be fair Kos and Mertesacker have been rock solid for most of the season. I wouldn't blame the defence anymore, the mids (Santi, Arteta, Ozil, Podolski) just don't track back and aren't good at defending when they do. Ramsey is fast becoming one of the best central mids in the world, would definitely have been third player of the year behind Suarez and Yaya had he not got injured. His stats are unreal, most tackles, goals and assists from central midfield ratio wise.

This one has to go down to the senior players and manager because there was no way in hell they could overturn that goal difference, it just wasn't possible. The win was enough because then if City somehow dropped points and only drew Liverpool would win the title. Gotta congratulate them on some amazing football this year
Haha, tbh I understood Mourinho playing this way against the all conquering Barca sides but he's ruining a lot of matches playing this way against most teams and it's very annoying. The joke is on him for playing this way earlier in the season against Man Utd and getting a 0-0 draw, hope that costs him the title!
Also I don't think not scoring an away goal can ever be considered as a perfect result, sorry.
Benitez and AVB don't belong on a list with Sherwood, especially Benitez
They have a better thing now
@Sourav, he knows that. He's just saying City would win the league because as it stands their goal difference is better than Liverpool's
Haha earlier on in the season people on here were saying Neymar was miles better than Bale. That has thoroughly been disproved over the course of the season. Knew Bale would come good, he was injured at the start. Still don't think he can justify that price tag though lol
Yup and you got like 6 disagrees for some reason, Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in an important game. You can never rule them out, I knew they'd win but I did think PSG might sneak one in and knock Chelsea out. Luckily Cavani was wayward with his finishing!
It's like groundhog day with Arsenal, the crumble is always expected no matter how in form they are, and the crumble seems to be hitting harder each year. Why do they always get injuries to their key players? Something is definitely amiss in training, every player that leaves Arsenal mentions how soft it is. Why did they only sign an injured Kalltstrom when they were top in January? Especially when it was evident that Giroud quite frankly isn't a title winning striker. Wenger should l...
1) It was Oscar.
2) It was a penalty. C+ for effort though.
I see Chelsea going out but winning at Stamford Bridge. 2-1 win = 4-3 loss
I agree with you that they have been the best team to watch this year but I wouldn't say the played terrible ugly boring football in recent years, they might have had a bad year and a half but did Istanbul bore you? Fa cup final vs West Ham? Smashing Madrid and Man Utd in consecutive matches? 4-4 draws with Arsenal and Chelsea? Torres Gerrard Mascherano Alonso?
p.s not a Liverpool fan
Personally I like the drama of football, it would be mundane if every decision made by the refs was right. There are loads of matches that are boring but one wrong decision sparks it up and gets the crowd going, technology I feel will take that away. Also for goal line technology, there'll eventually be a case where a through ball is played to a player who is offside but the linesman doesn't see it, that player shoots it hits the bar and bounces just over the line and goal line techno...
Totally agree, while the squad isn't as good as Man City they are still better than is being made out by most pundits. Moyes is to blame
Mata will come good if they change manager along with Rafael who was one of the best RB's in the league last year. But the rest of their team and manager is horrendous tbh, they simply aren't better than the top teams and even if they were they have a worse manager so would always get out thought and lose anyway. Moyes has to go, he never deserved this job
Ramos clearly clipped Neymar, definite penalty and red. Also Ronaldo was clearly clipped, outside the box yes but it can still be given as a pen if the ref feels contact continued into the box. Tbh neither Madrid nor Barca can complain about the ref when all both teams do is try and cheat for tiny little advantages
My assesment of Wenger. No other manager could have (with the financial restraints) won as much as he has and consistently unearthed gems while always finishing in a champions league place. HOWEVER, most managers with the teams he's had in the past 9 or so years would win a couple of cups, as seen by Birmingham winning carling cup, Wigan Fa cup etc etc.
Now you're just arguing against a strawman, I know where the place to support players is and I already stated that I expect Utd to go out, as do most people. But even if I was a fan of Utd I wouldn't 'fear a hammering' it's hardly a forgone conclusion. My point that you can't seem to grasp is, your overwhelming negativity is ridiculous because anything can happen in football.
Again, if it was as simple as the lesser manager will always lose to the better manager no one would watch football anymore.
You're telling me if Man Utd's players were able to read your full comment they'd be inspired by your 'support'? No, they'd be demoralised because you 'Hate to think what Bayern/Barca/RM will do TO TACTICALLY INEPT MOYES'- there used your full quote and my point still stands.
I'm a major Ronaldo fan- I think he gets a lot of flack he doesn't deserve because of a few dives and minor tantrums which people then apply to his real life personality whereas to me he just seems like a nice guy who works hard. He has been better than Messi this season. Overall I have to admit Messi is ahead, it's pretty clear to me and I don't even like Messi all too much
